Our History
Since 2002
Fergus Neilson was incorporated as a limited company in 2002 following 3 years as a sole tradership under the name Payrollplus. The M.D. then was Linda Ferguson who had a background in accountancy and payroll going back to the 1970s when payroll was a simple affair. Who remembers a time when national insurance stamps were bought at the post office and stuck onto employee cards?
If only life were so simple! Now we have auto enrolment, debt collection, charity giving, salary sacrifice, all operated via payroll, to name but a few of many additions since those bygone days.
In 2018 Emma Williams joined the team and took over the day to day running and ownership of the business. Emma has a BSc (Hons) in Accounting, Auditing and Finance and trained with Ernst & Young. Emma is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) with many years experience in running different payroll systems.
